In response to the overwhelming demand for ophthalmic services, the MEAK team returned to Busia to carry out procedures on the remaining patients that were unable to be seen in December.
On this mission an additional 101 cataract operations were performed, bringing the total cataract and other surgeries performed to restore sight at this location to an amazing 409
